Why make your own
homemade ice cream or gelato?
If you do the ice cream or
gelato by yourself you can improve your income. Part of the business
in the ice cream field is to produce it. As you can see in the
production page, you don't need
an industry. The main ingredient for the cream flavors gelato like
vanilla, chocolate, coffee... are milk, cream, stabilizer and gelato
paste or aroma. This ice cream will have a value between 20% and 30%
of fat. If you do sorbet, that is the ice cream with fruit flavors,
you will not use the milk and the cream, you will use water instead,
and the fat value will be around 0%. The cost of making Italian
gelato by you will be around 80 and 120 baht per kg for the cream
flavors, 200 baht for the hazelnut if good. For the fruit flavors
will be in a 60 - 120 baht per kg range. When you buy it you will
pay around 200 baht a kg till, the real good one at 350 baht per kg
top. As you can see producing it can be a profitable business.
